Welcome to Bohemia-online!
In terms of its focus, Bohemia is unique in Western Europe. In two issues a year, the internationally renowned academic journal presents the latest research findings on the history and culture of the Bohemian Lands, Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic in the East Central European context. In addition to more extensive articles, the journal contains contributions on current research and academic literature as well as conference reports and book reviews, thereby representing a forum for academic discussion. Bohemia has been a refereed journal since 2010.
On Bohemia-online all past issues of the journal since it was launched in 1960 can be accessed free of charge. All texts can be downloaded as PDFs. While articles published in the past two years are protected by a moving wall, all other material (including abstracts of the articles) is published immediately online.
Bohemia-online is a joint project of the Collegium Carolinum and the Bavarian State Library. It is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG).
